Huguenot Primary School judoka Joel van der Spuy participated in the Cape Winelands Regional Tournament for Judo and did extremely well when he won 5 out of 5 of his fights. Joel won gold in both the Novice and Open division, thus earning a place in the Boland team that will participate in the SA Championships later this year in Port Elizabeth.
