Rondebosch Boys’ High School Callum Lau, Grade 11, achieved an impressive 3rd place in the Western Cape Schools Chess High School Individual Provincial Championship, held recently in Vredenburg. His outstanding performance among the province’s top young chess talents has earned him a coveted spot at the National Championships, where he will represent the Western Cape at the highest level of school chess competition in South Africa.
