Worcester Gymnasium’s choir received Cum Laude at the Worcester Eisteddfod

Worcester Gymnasium’s choir (WGK) participated in the Worcester Eisteddfod Choir Festival on 28 August 2025. The choir sang beautifully and received a Cum Laude (91%) award. WGK also surprised Worcester’s audience and the Eisteddfod judges with a mass choir performance in collaboration with HTS Drostdy’s choir.
The two choirs performed the ATKV’s prescribed song, Dinge Wat Tieners Haat, under the direction of both choirs’ conductors.
Earlier this year, WGK also participated in the Tygerberg Eisteddfod Choir Festival on 21 May 2025 and the ATKV-Applous Streekfees on 23 May 2025. WGK received gold and silver awards, respectively.
