What is the highlight of your team’s netball season this year? We have come together as one supportive team, all of us are proud to be part of the green machine with goals and vision. We know what we want to achieve, and we are all pulling together in the same direction.

How do you motivate your team? By giving recognition to the individuals for their outstanding contributions to make the team stronger. I try to keep the team motivated by not focusing on the disappointments, but by lifting our heads high and striving to improve before our next challenge.

Who is your vice-captain and how does she support you? Chanique Faarland. As captain it’s my duty to keep the team positive and motivated. When I am having a bad day, Chanique will always be there to lift me up, and help me realise that I shouldn’t take everything too seriously.

What do you as a team want to achieve this year? What will make you proud? For many of us it’s our last year, and nothing will make us prouder than to win the 2023 Classic Clashes. We are really focused and ready to pull out all the stops for these Clashes. Not only will this this makes us proud, but the entire school.

What are your plans for the future? I plan to further my studies after school and continue to be an ambassador for the game of netball. I have a passion for netball and by continuing with the game, it’s my way of thanking God for my awesome talent.

 What can the school and parents expect from your team this year at the Classic Clashes? They have big dreams to show the school that they can be proud of the first netball team. They know their parents believe in them and want to make them proud.

 Where is your strength as a team? Our shooting combo brings something different to the game of netball. I believe if we use our gameplan and execute it with confidence, we might surprise our opponents.
