Afikaaans is amptelik 101 jaar oud en Laerskool Durbanville vier saam fees

Op Vrydag 8 Mei was Afrikaans amptelik 101 jaar oud. Almal weet dat Afrikaans reeds voor hierdie amptelikwording bestaan het en naas Hollands en Engels aan die suidpunt van Afrika gepraat is. Afrikaans is ‘n baie jong taal en staan nog in sy babaskoene.

Om Laerskool Durbanville unieke moedertaal te vier het elke Afrikaans Huistaal-leerder in gr. 6 ‘n Afrikaans 101-boekie gemaak. Die beoordelaars het die leerders se oulike grappies, taallesse, spelreëls, stories, gedigte en interessanthede oor en in Afrikaans baie geniet. Dit was omtrent kopkrap om die wenners te bepaal.
