On Saturday, 9 May, The King School West Rand travelled to SAHETI School for another exciting round of 7’s rugby league fixtures. The U.15 side delivered an excellent performance, winning one of their two matches 19–0. The team showed strong defensive play and exciting attacking play throughout the day. Although the U.18 team faced tough opposition and was unable to secure a win in their two fixtures, the players displayed resilience, determination, and great sportsmanship. The league matches provided valuable experience for both squads as they continue building towards a successful rugby 7s season.

With three weekends remaining in the league, both teams have plenty of opportunity to continue improving and making their mark in the competition. The U.15 squad will take confidence from their impressive 19–0 victory and will look to build on that momentum in the coming fixtures. Their hard work, discipline, and teamwork continue to show positive growth each week. The U.18 side, despite facing tough opponents and challenging results, remains determined and focused on turning their performances into success as the league progresses. Rugby sevens is a fast-paced game that rewards resilience, commitment, and character, and both squads have shown those qualities throughout the season. The coaching staff and supporters are excited to see the players continue developing, competing with pride, and giving their all for The King School West Rand in the weeks ahead.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
– Galatians 6:9
