Curro Hillcrest siblings and all round sport achievers excel

Luke Smith had a few busy weeks, here are some of his results and achievements: Aquelle night series he ran and won the 1500m and the 3000m. He broke the record for the 3000m by 20 seconds. He competed in KZN league 6 and won the 3000m and came second in the 1500m. He took part in the KZN Athletics youth championships/trials this past weekend in PMB, we await his results. He was selected for the PADSSA swimming team, and he won a gold and bronze medal at the KZN schools’ trials. We are still waiting to hear if he has made the team.
He competed in the KZN Biathlon champs a few weekends ago where he won gold in his age group with a new PB. He was the 3rd best runner overall and 3rd best athlete overall winning a bronze overall. The senior athletes get bonus points for age etc so that is how they beat him overall. He has been selected for the KZN team will be going to the SA Biathlon Champs in Bloemfontein at the end of March. Showing his all-round ability he also makes time to play cricket and enjoys his participation.. WOW Luke! These are some impressive results! Not far behind him is his sister Lily Smith, a Grade 4 pupil from Curro HCA, who has made the KZN Biathlon team and won silver in the U11 girls age group.
