Shreya Naidoo a 10-year-old Grade 5 student from Crawford International La Lucia said the Stadium Golf was an awesome experience. “I really enjoyed being out there with the best team and competing in such an exciting event.
I was super happy to finish Day 2 on top of the leaderboard as a team and even more excited to make it through to the finals. One of my biggest highlights was shooting under par on both days, which made me really proud of how I played.”

Shreya’s notable achievements include being the U.11 IPT Girls Winner, Junior Africa Champion 2023/2024/2025, Big 5 SA Open Champion & Runner Up, SA Kids Player of the Year 2025, Champions of Champions World Championship – 4th Place as well as qualifying for US Kids Worlds 2025/2026 – again all in her age category. She says “It was an amazing event where I had so much fun, and made great memories doing what I love most”

Darren Maule, Carter Ross, Shreya Naidoo, Keemaya Naidu, and Kerryn Viljoen

9-year-old Carter Ross a Grade 4, Umhlali Preparatory student was one of three junior players to join in Darren Maule’s chosen four ball. Carter is Junior Africa Champion, The Big 5 SA Open Top 3, KZN Junior Masters Champion, U.S Kids Season Champion and qualified for World Championships in U.S.A 4 years in a row and competed twice and is SA Kids Player of the Year, in his age category. Says Carter – ‘I had the best experience playing the very fun and quite challenging Par 3, 18-hole course at the Kingsmead Stadium Golf! I was so happy to hear we made the final and got another chance to play with my golf champ friends and Mr Darren Maule”

Keemaya Naidu a 13-year-old Grade 7 student at Crawford International North Coast is the 2025 Junior Africa Champion, 2025, SA Kids Player of the Year, U.S Kids Season Champion and took fourth position in the Big 5 South Africa Open (all in her age categories) said “I had a wonderful time playing with Darren Maule, Shreya and Carter. I cannot believe we came 7th in the finals. It was a great experience playing at Kingsmead Stadium.”

Deputy Principal from Crawford International North Coast Kerryn Viljoen, was fortunate to be the chosen caddie for both the heat and final under lights and loved every moment of the event, “I had the incredible privilege of watching Darren Maule alongside three talented young golfers, all under the age of 13, take on a field of adults with confidence and determination. Their energy, encouragement of one another, and outstanding team spirit were truly inspiring to witness. Combined with their natural golfing ability and composure on the course, these young players proved that age is no limit to talent. The future of golf is certainly looking bright!”
