Santiago Frade, in Grade 5 at St Martin’s School, recently participated in the FIA (Federation of International Automobiles) inaugural carting championship in Africa. His participation was aimed at promoting motorsports in the continent. The competition had 27 young drivers representing nine different racing federations. They battled gruelling temperatures of 39 degrees Celsius in Pretoria over the weekend. Santiago emerged 11th among the 27 racers in Africa. We congratulate Santiago on his awesome achievement and wish him all the best in his future races.
