Skye Micklethwaite (Grade 12) learner from Rustenburg Girls’ High School competed in the South African Biathle Championships . Competing in the U.19 age group, she achieved 4th place overall. Skye’s performance has earned her a spot at the Biathle World Championships in Port Said, Egypt, in October 2024, where she will have the opportunity to obtain her Junior Protea Colours for Biathle.
