Die Nellies se krieketspanne het hierdie week teen Laerskool Bergland te staan gekom in ons jaarlikse Krieket “Derby”.

Congratulations to Mr. Breyl and Mr. Bodenstein with a fantastic U.9 season. The Nellie U.9 Buffalo and U.9 Rhino teams played against each other this week. Well done to the Rhinos who won by 36 runs.

Mnr Deon van Niekerk se 0.10A spannetjie het ‘n spog vertoning gelewer met ‘n uitstekende 9 paaltjie oorwinning teen Bergies se 0.10A’s.

Mnr Drummond se 0.11A span het ook gewys waarom hulle vroeë aanspraakmakers is vir die Mpumalanga titel nadat hulle vir Bergies met 181 lopies gewen het. George Neuhoff en Riwan van der Merwe het die lopies aan die rol gesit, met George wat kan spog met ‘n uitstekende beurt van 90 lopies en Riwan met 52 lopies. Durandt de Wet was grotendeels verantwoordelik vir die val van meeste Bergland se paaltjies. Sy boulsyfers heet, 7 paaltjies vir 3 lopies in slegs 4 beurte! Welgedaan seuns, julle maak ons trots!

Our Nellies’ U.12A won by 9 wickets against Bergland. Well done to Mr. Fourie en sy seuns, julle maak ons trots!

Congratulations to Mr Adendorff’s Genfin U.13A first team with their 145 runs win over Bergland’s U.13A. The Nellie boys made 235 runs for the loss of only 3 wickets. Dandré Louw and Ihvan Pretorius contributed 198 runs between the two of them. Dandre – 102 runs not out and Ihvan Pretorius was bowled out for 96 runs. Dandré also took 4 wickets for only 14 runs, while Johan Roets took 4 wickets for 7 runs. Baie geluk seuns, ons is trots op julle.
