A number of our musicians and vocalists participated in the annual Port Rex Lions Eisteddfod. The incredible dedication, and talent of our music department and their music learners were rewarded with incredible results. The Hudson Park High School music department delivered fantastic results at the 2023 Port Rex Lions Music Eisteddfod. Overall Hudson achieved 3 Bronze (60-69%), 22 Silver (70-79%), 21 Gold (80-89%) and 7 Special Mention (90-100%) awards. They also took home medals in the following categories:

• Most Promising Senior Pianist – Matthew Muller
• Most Promising Senior Brass Instrumentalist – Jamie Goodall
• Best Senior Instrumentalist – Lutho Xokiyana
• Best High School Chamber Ensemble – HPHS Flute Ensemble
• Best High School Band/Orchestra – HPHS Concert Band

We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our learners under the guidance music department educators, Mr. Wesley Wong, Mrs. Lisa Wong, Mrs. Hayley White, Mr. Sibongile Ponase and Mrs. Nasine van Rensburg and wish to congratulate them and their learners on these well-deserved achievements.
