Rotary recognises people who make a real difference through service, commitment, and dedication to their clubs and communities. These awards are an important part of what Rotary does, and they also play a big role in youth programmes like Interact.
With that in mind, we are incredibly proud to share that Mr Hloma and Mrs Peine received special recognition awards on Friday evening for their continued commitment to Rotary and to our wider community. Mrs Peine has already received Rotary’s highest honour the Paul Harris Award which makes this acknowledgment even more special.
What really made the evening stand out was that the awards were handed over by Mr Steve Shone, the District Governor for Rotary District 9370 for the 2025–2026 term. He and his wife are based in Bloemfontein and remain very active across the district, so having him personally present the awards meant a great deal.
Congratulations, Mrs Peine and Mr Hloma! We are so proud of you both. Thank you for the wonderful work you do with our Interact Rotary pupils and for the way you uplift and support our community through the school. Your kindness, commitment, and service truly make a difference. We appreciate you more than words can say.
