St Martin’s learner shines at Rok Cup events dominates Northern Regions Championship

Santiago Frade, a dedicated student from St Martin’s School, has once again made his mark in the competitive world of kart racing, showcasing both skill and determination in recent races. On 15 February, Santiago participated in the prestigious Rok Cup National and Northern Regions double header held at the Red Star Race Circuit in Delmas, where his exceptional performance earned him impressive results. Santiago’s first success came in the national event, where he secured a remarkable 2nd place finish, proving his mettle against some of the country’s finest kart racers. However, the standout moment came during the Northern Regions event, where he clinched the top spot, finishing first and reaffirming his dominance in the regional karting scene.
Continuing his streak of excellence, Santiago returned to the track on 15 March for round 2 of the Rok Cup Northern Regions. This time, he finished second overall, showcasing both consistency and a strong competitive spirit. Thanks to these impressive performances, he now leads the Northern Regions Championship, positioning himself as a serious contender for the title. As a student at St Martin’s, his achievements on the track reflect his unwavering commitment to balancing academics with his passion for motorsport. His success serves as an inspiration not only to his peers but also to young athletes everywhere, proving that dedication, discipline and hard work can lead to great accomplishments both in the classroom and on the track.
