Somerset College learner Josie-Mae Schlaphoff (Grade 6) took part in the Stellenbosch Eisteddfod and received Cum Laude for both her entries. She was invited to the special prize giving where she received the M. Koen trophy for Solo Singing Girls 11 years, the Stellenbosch Eisteddfod medal for Musical Theatre and the JP Smit trophy for the best rendition of a folk song 7-12 years.
