On Thursday, 26 March, Milnerton High School’s 1st XV squad of 35 players and staff departed for Durban, followed by the remainder of the touring group (107 players and staff) on Friday, 27 March. All teams participated in the Glenwood Rugby Festival, where several standout performances were recorded Highlights included:

  • The U16 team’s impressive 27–7 victory over Bergsig Akademie
  • The U15 team’s hard-fought 10–3 win against Glenwood
  • The U14 team’s narrow but well-earned 5–0 triumph over Westville XV

The 1st XV then travelled to Kearsney on Wednesday, 1 April, while the rest of the touring group returned to Cape Town on Thursday, 2 April At the prestigious Kearsney Easter Rugby Festival, the 1st team competed against top-tier opposition, including EG Jansen, Peterhouse Boys’ School (Zimbabwe), and Westville Boys’ High School.

Widely regarded as one of the premier schoolboy rugby festivals in the country, the Kearsney experience was both memorable and invaluable for all involved.
