On Friday, 2 February 2024, Marist Brothers Linmeyer High School held their momentous Ringing-In Ceremony to officially welcome the Grade 8s into the High School Family. The event marked a significant milestone as each Grade 8 student rang the Bell of Hope, symbolizing their official induction into the esteemed institution.

The symbolic act of ringing the Bell of Hope signifies the beginning of their High School journey, with a promise to once again ring the bell after completing their Matric final examinations in four years’ time. A touching moment unfolded as each student lit a candle, were handed their official name badge and received a heartfelt blessing from the revered Priest, Father Tshepo Duik. This was followed by the ringing of the bell.

In adherence to the cherished Marist tradition, the Grade 8 students, alongside the entire High School, united in singing the school war cry, fostering a sense of unity. This powerful act served as a sense of belonging to the Grade 8s.
