St Nicholas Diocesan School hosts an annual Mofokeng & Mndaweni Basketball Tournament in memory of the late Joel Mofokeng (Educator and Coach) and the late Lowell Mndaweni (Coach). The memory of these two exceptional coaches, their love for children and passion for the sport live on through events like this. This year’s tournament saw the following schools participating: Hermannsburg, HeronBridge College (Jhb), Curro Hillcrest, MCS, Alexandra High, Weston College, Grace College, Carter High, St Benedict’s, Wartburg Kirchdorf and St Nicholas. A wonderful day of good sportsmanship and basketball was enjoyed by all. St Nicholas won the coveted Mofokeng & Mndaweni Trophy in an exciting final match against Grace College.
