Wembley College is thrilled to announce Mr William Silk’s appointment as Deputy Head of Wembley College, Head of High School and Head of Boarding Establishment.  Wembley welcomes William, his lovely wife Lisel and their sons Christopher and Michael.

William obtained his Masters in Music at the University of KZN, majoring in Choral and Orchestral Conducting.  He was the Head of Music at Ferrum High School and taught music from Grade 8 to 12:  practical voice, electric guitar, drums, piano, trumpet and the school brass band as well as coaching 1st team hockey. William leaves his post as Senior Master of Co-Curricular at Michaelhouse where he ran the Art, Drama, Cultural Ensembles, Clubs and Societies.  He is a keen pilot and has built his own aeroplane which he will hangar at the Plennegy Aviation Hub in Greytown.

The co-curricular activities at Wembley College will be his focus. William was the Director of the Northern KZN Youth Choir and is currently the Director of the KZN Midlands Youth Choir. William will continue in this role at the choir.  The Silks bring with them a skill set that will complement our College and the Umvoti community. We welcome this talented family and wish them much happiness in the Greytown community.
