The Wembley School Choir, competed in their very first choral competition, hosted at Maritzburg College this month. The competition is a nationally based with hundreds of choirs competing against each other from all over the country, in the hope of becoming the best choir in Southern Africa.
The choir performed exceptionally well, and although a few choristers experienced their first bout of stage fright, they sang beautifully receiving positive feedback and a Silver for the competition. The Wembley Choir Master, Mr Silk who is Head of the KZN Midlands Youth Choir said, “I am extremely proud of what the choir has done in such a short period of time and I can’t wait to see how we improve in the months and years to come.”
