Selborne College Sport Results for Week-Ending 11th August 2024: Latest results

Squash: Top Schools Squash Tournament 2024 held in Pietermaritzburg (8 to 11 August 2024)

Selborne College 1st Squash Team finished 2nd in their pool. This ensured that Selborne made the top 4 schools in South Africa. In the semi-final, Selborne lost to KES (2-3), and in the playoff for 3rd and 4th place, they lost St Andrews Bloem (2-3). Selborne College 1st Squash Team finish in 4th place overall.

The following boys received nominations for provincial awards in various categories:

  • Abdul Marais and Ronald Theron for best ensemble (Steriel).
  • Steriel for best overall handling of technical aspects.

Provincial Awards:

  • Abdul Marais and Sazi Silwana won best stage managers for Aandmaal.
  • Jo Stemmet won best director.
  • Abdul Marais won best supporting actor.
  • Ronald Theron won best actor.

Triathle/Biathle:

Triathle/Biathle South African Championships held in East London (9th and 10th August 2024)

Triathle:

  • Under 17 : 1st Place Adam de Lange
  • Under 19 2nd Place Luke Tinhoff  ,3rd Place Allistar Attwell

Biathle:

  • Under 15 13th Place Tiaan Wessels
  • Under 17 4th Place Adam de Lange ;8th Place Stephen Tinhoff; 12th Place  Mishan Keshaw
