Glenashley Prep proudly launched their social responsibility initiative for the term recently,  wrapping their trees in vibrant pink, in support of the non-profit organisation Pink Trees for Pauline, who raise cancer awareness. Attention is focused on cancer care and cancer awareness in a visually stimulating way, by wrapping public spaces with pink fabric.

The funds from the purchase of the fabric go directly to those in need of cancer care in the area in which it was purchased. School Principal, Mr Naaim Jaffar said “We have joined forces with Glenashley Junior Primary School, who have also wrapped their trees as a joint initiative between our schools.

We are proud of the fact that our schools are the only supporters of Pink Trees for Pauline in KwaZulu-Natal”.  The schools hope that their initiative will stimulate further support for Pink Trees for Pauline, and their trees will remain wrapped in symbolic pink until mid-October.
