Rivals unite in black to 

Rivals of the north, Fourways High School & Bryanston High School took to the courts, astro & field to compete in their annual derby days on Friday 6th & Saturday 7th May 2022. Arguably one of the most anticipated school sporting events, following the absence of sports over the past two years, both schools have put aside their rivalry to unite and bring awareness to the issue of gender-based violence.

We need to highlight the devastation that gender-based violence has in our communities. By joining forces as schools, we want to use this platform and event to show that we will not stand for this any longer. All supporters were encouraged to wear black to the derby days on 6 & 7 May as a visual show of their support. Both schools sold #endgbv wristbands to raise funds to help those whom have suffered from gender-based violence.
