Kruinies, let’s celebrate the incredible achievement of Zara Teixeira, a proud Grade 6 learner at Curro Heuwelkruin!
Zara had the honour of representing her school and Polokwane at the prestigious 13th South African International Ballet Competition in Cape Town the only international ballet competition of its kind on the African continent.
Performing on the magnificent Artscape Opera House stage alongside exceptional young dancers from South Africa and around the world, Zara captivated audiences and impressed an esteemed international judging panel. In an exceptionally talented field, she delivered her individual performances with confidence, elegance and heart.
And the excitement didn’t stop there! Zara joined her fellow dancers from Mzanzi Ballet Academy for a beautiful group performance and together, they danced their way to an incredible SECOND PLACE!
Behind every graceful movement are countless hours of training, courage, discipline and determination.
From Polokwane to one of South Africa’s most celebrated stages, Zara has shown us just how brightly a young dream can shine.
