At the recent District Chess Trials, the Queenstown Girls’ High School learners did extremely well, with the following results recorded:

• U16 -Kripa Thomas – 3/5; Ntandakazi Dumezweni – 1/5
• U18 – Asiyolise Nyubatyha – 5/5 1st Place; Phumelela Mayekiso – 3/5 3rd Place, Endinako Biyana – 3/5; Luloluthando Mato – 3/5; Cameron Menold 2/5; Amahle Totsholo 2/5
• U20 – Rethabile Hlanga – 4/5 2nd Place, Sonwabise Panya – 3/5
