The Music department has been very busy, especially with using the new equipment.  Using Tonic Solfa, with the assistance of audio and video footage, the Pre-School maestros are starting to learn pitch and pulse. In the Prep School, pupils use speech rhymes to mathematically work out their rhythmic ostinatos using body percussion.  Once they have felt the rhythm on their bodies, the pupils put the different ostinatos together in a pulse, and are able to play together without speaking their rhymes.  They then put their ostinatos onto musical instruments.
