Each year we celebrate the founders of Wembley College by hosting a weekend filled with memorable events. This year we are 27 years old. Our celebrations will begin on Friday, 6 September with the Founder’s Day Assembly and Tree Planting Ceremony for long service scholars. On Friday afternoon, we are hosting an Old Scholar Sports’ Afternoon at the Country Club. The Duck Drop opens events on Saturday at 8am, followed by the class go-kart races. The Olympic stalls will open in the morning followed by the Country Olympics. In the afternoon, the Plennegy Hockey Tournament is taking place on the Wembley Astro. The talented, world-renowned solo performer Arno Carstens is singing in the Aloe Hall on Saturday night, 7 September. Doors open at 6pm.

Wembley College was built in 1997 by Brian Corbishley and his wife Dorothy. This weekend we give thanks to the Corbishley family and to the pioneers of our school who forged the way forward and had the vision to create an international, private school in Greytown.
“Gratitude helps us to appreciate life. When we express gratitude, we acknowledge the value of our fellow human beings.”
The weekend is a time for our school to raise valuable funds to assist us with our scholarship fund. Your tickets are going towards ensuring the school grows and flourishes. All of this would not be possible without our sponsors who so generously donate prizes. The following companies, individuals and hotels sponsored the spot prizes this year: Aromadough, Linda Lubba, ESSE, Rene Swanepoel, Laverne Pieterse, Annelie Mackay, Angie Arbuckle, Aviary Skincare, Starke Aryes, New Market, The Greytown Drugstore, Ruben Surendorff, The Cavern Berg Resort, Fordoun Hotel and Spa, Hemyock Farm, Lavender Trout Guest Farm, Eyecam and Ricoh. We have received cash sponsorships from the following companies: BDO Financial Services, CPS, Triton Express, First Technologies, T3T, Blue Crest Holdings, Spur Wing, Aquelle, Next Gen Fire, D Holland and Associates, Starke Ayres and Pidelta.
We look forward to seeing you at the Wembley Duck Derby on the 6th & 7th September.
