In excess of 280 Pearsonites descended on Oudtshoorn on Friday 8th April 2022 to participate in the resumption of the Annual Winter Weekend Derby during which hockey, rugby and netball was played with enthusiasm and gusto. The Netball component comprised of our u14A & Bs, our u15As, our u16A, B & Cs and our u19A & Bs who each confidently and comfortably defeated our opponents in all 8 encounters to register a clean sweep of victories. The highlight of the Netball proved to be the convincing 40-14 triumph of our 1^st team in a match filled with exciting and attractive netball. Pearson dominated in all facets of play against very willing and robust opponents but all our players gave stellar performances in the match. The rugby was played in good spirits and the results were as follows:

• 1^st XV won 64-20
• U16 won 26-0
• U15 won 34 -0
• U14 won 41-19

Try scorers were Erin Baisley (2), Lunathi Njarra, Andrew Hall, CJ Erasmus, Divan Fourie, Janco van der Walt (2), Casper Fouche, and Arnaud van Eyk.  Erin Baisly and Janco van der Walt scored 2 tries each.
