Waterkloof House Preparatory School celebrates 100 Years of Excellence in Education – 100, Here We Go! Pretoria, Gauteng – Waterkloof House Prep School (WHPS) is proud to announce the celebration of its 100th anniversary. Established in 1923, the school has been providing high-quality education to generations of boys in the Pretoria area.
To commemorate this milestone, WHPS will be hosting a series of celebratory events throughout the year, commencing on Thursday 2 February, the school’s birthday. The special occasions include a Founders’ Day Assembly, Centenary Walk, Centenary Assembly and Opening of the new state-of-the-art Centenary Junior Prep Building, and an Old Boys’ Dinner. Various performances by the music groups will provide entertainment, and a special Gala Ball, and a Thanksgiving Service will be held later in the year. The children will celebrate our centenary at a fun-filled 100th birthday party. The events will provide an opportunity for Old Boys, current and past boys and staff, and members of the WHPS family to come together to celebrate the school’s rich history and achievements.

“We are honoured to be celebrating 100 years of excellence in education,” said Mark Whitelaw, the school’s headmaster. “Over the past century WHPS, as it is affectionally know, has played a vital role in the lives of countless Prep School boys and has been a cornerstone of the Pretoria community. WHPS is an independent school, offering education to Grade 000 and Grade 00 boys and girls, and Grade 0 to Grade 7 boys only, with boarding offered from Grade 3.
