Two learners from Trio High School participated in the annual Language and Heritage Festival hosted by the Department of Education in Bloemfontein on the 5th & 7th of September. Die doel van hierdie geleentheid is om die diverse Taal en Erfenis van Suid-Afrika te vier en ‘n generasie van jong denkende lesers en skrywers te kweek.

• Gugu Matambeka, grade 11, and Itumeleng Makhetha, grade 9, not only represented Trio but also the Fezile Dabi District.
• They participated in the Afrikaanse Eerste Addisionele category and had to deliver a speech and a book review
• Itumeleng het ‘n 3de plek behaal met haar: “Boekresensie: Alice in Wonderland.”
