The Bellville High School Grade 9 English debate team participated in a competition organised by the Western Cape Disaster Management Centre on 8 September 2023, in which they won their topic round, got second prize for the overall competition and best content speakers. The team prepared themselves for the topic: Climate change is caused by human disregard for the environment. Well done to Von Wielligh Louw, Carla Joubert, Lanique Burger, Mea Oosthuizen and Megan-Leigh Van Greunen.
