Sunningdale Primary School’s Cruz Henderson (Grade 1) was selected to participate in the Western Province JKA Karate Championships. Despite competing in a category with older boys this year, he performed exceptionally well and earned a Double Bronze. One for KATA and one for KUMITE. As a result of this achievement, Cruz has been awarded his Western Province Colours. He has now qualified to represent the province at the SA National JKA Karate Championship, which will take place in Johannesburg this May.
