The Arbor Park Acorn Mini Sport Festival was a huge success for participants from St Dominics Newcastle. Head of Sports for the Primary Phase, Blessing Khumalo, confirmed learners participated in three sport codes – rugby, netball and hockey.
“All our teams played brilliantly and showed great sportsmanship! We had a mixed bag of results; we won some matches, drew some and lost some.” Coach K added that players displayed ‘great character and growth’ in every match and said this is what mini sports is all about. “Mini sports are about instilling a love and passion for sport. A massive thank you must be sent to our incredible parents for their support, as well as our fantastic staff, who give nothing but their best to ensure our future stars are prepared for tournaments like this.” Coach K also thanked Arbor Park Primary School for hosting the school, and for a successful and enjoyable tournament.
