Promoting literacy and a love for reading, at St Charles College are essential for personal development, education, and lifelong learning. Books have the ability to transcend boundaries, allowing our boys to explore different cultures and perspectives, foster empathy and cultivate their imagination.

Books serve as guardians of our cultural heritage and anchors of wisdom amidst the rapid changes of modern life. In today’s digital age, where our attention is often diverted to screens and social media, World Book Day encourages our boys to appreciate, and perhaps rediscover the joy of reading physical books. – Mrs Lauren Riley (Head of Junior Primary)
