Congratulations to Danny Baxter (Grade 7) and Emily Rose-Innes (Grade 6) learners of Somerst College for their selection to the Western Province U.13C and U.13B Hockey Teams, respectively. This was announced at the WP Capping Ceremony hosted at Rondebosch Boys’ Preparatory last week. One of the highlights of the ceremony was the address by guest speaker, Litha Kraai, who, despite still being at school, has already represented South Africa at Senior Men’s level.

We are incredibly proud of Danny and Emily, who will be representing their province at the South Inter-Regional Tournament in Paarl this holiday from 28 June to 1 July 2026. We know they will make the most of this fantastic opportunity to develop their game further and be ambassadors for Somerset College and their province. Well done, Danny and Emily!
