A huge congratulations to Newcastle High School choir on their incredible achievement in the ATKV Applous National finals held in Pretoria. They showcased their exceptional talent and received a standing ovation from the bewildered crowd, with an impressive 87% score, securing Gold in the Prestige Category, with the ONLY choir in this category doing the prescribed afrikaans piece! Under the guidance of their Director of Culture and conductor, Ms. Khwezi Ndlela, the choir, has consistently delivered outstanding performances, including their recent participation in the Music in the Mountains festival with the Drakensberg Boys Choir and other incredible programs. We’re incredibly proud of their hard work and commitment to excellence!
