After a great start to the season, Maritzburg College’s soccer 1^st XI team are currently ranked 1^st in South Africa. They beat DHS to secure the Raw Cup (one of the oldest sporting rivalries in South African school’s sport, since 1889)  and will face Port Shepstone on Friday 6 September in the final of Cowie Cup.

Congratulations to Maritzburg College’s cyclists who finished top in the KZN Schools MTB Cycling series, with Luke Newlands winning the Junior Men category in every race! He was closely followed by his team mate, Brett Foster, who finished 2^nd in three of the four races.

Maritzburg College is especially proud of two 1^st XV players, Phiwayinkosi “Rambo” Kubheka and Aiden Botha, were selected for both the SA Schools U18 and SA U18 teams. As part of the SA U18 fixtures, they took on their counterparts from England and Ireland in Cape Town and Paarl in August. This is Rambo’s second consecutive year of selection at this level.

Maritzburg College was thrilled host the East Coast Radio Breakfast team on the campus at College’s CoffeeBox last week.
