Queenstown Girls’ High School won the Spar Eastern Cape Inland Schools Hockey Challenge.  We are delighted with this outcome and congratulate Mr Jekels, Mrs Stone and the 1^st Hockey team with this result.  This is a fiercely contested tournament and the girls look forward to measure their skills against other schools every year.  The positive atmosphere and vibe at this tournament is infectious and the day is thoroughly enjoyed by the girls, coaches and parents.

GHS won against Burgersdorp 3 – 1, Stutterheim 2 – 0, Mthatha 7 – 0 and De Vos Malan 4 – 0.  They then played against a strong Aliwal North side in the final and won 3 – 1.  The 1^st Hockey team will now play in the Spar Eastern Cape Hockey Challenge Finals in Port Elizabeth in August. A big thank you got to Spar and Fein for sponsoring this event.  We also thank Multitrust and all our parents for their keen assistance on the day.
