Our learners joined children around the world for International Kids’ Yoga Day . At Jacaranda Academy, we believe in nurturing the “whole child,” which means taking time to calm the mind, stretch the body, and build the focus needed for a bright academic day.

Why Yoga for Kids?

Beyond the fun poses, these sessions offer vital benefits for growing minds and bodies:

  1. Focus & Concentration: Learning to hold a pose helps learners build the “attention muscles” they need for the classroom.
  2. Physical Strength & Coordination: It’s a great way to improve posture and body awareness in a non-competitive environment.
  3. Stress Management: By teaching simple breathing techniques, we give our learners tools to manage anxiety and find their “inner calm” whenever they feel overwhelmed.

A Sensory Experience

To make the morning extra special, the children enjoyed a sensory-rich environment. We filled the air with the calming scent of light sandalwood, white sage and lavender incense, creating a peaceful “oasis” right here on our school. Seeing our learners master their tree poses and find a moment of peace on the mat was truly the highlight to end our week!
