This Graeme College learner is one of those boys who puts his hand up when nobody else does. Whether it is helping a staff member carry something, asking the others in the class or team to keep quiet or just his exceptional manners. He went above and beyond his coaches expectations this year during the tennis season which runs from January to November. His sportsmanship on and off the court is to be commended. When beating the number two, who was obviously disappointed he comforted him and told him how well he played instead of screaming “I won” and making a scene. He has stayed humble and improved the most this season. Well done to Jed van der Merwe, who is our Graemian of the Week.
