Forrest View Primary Grade 7 learner, James Stirk took part in a local Judo competition at Kloof Senior Primary on 21st June and proudly brought home a gold medal in his category. He then stepped onto a much bigger stage at the South African Open Judo Championships, held from 2nd – 5th July 2025 at TUKS University in Pretoria. Competing at this level for the first time, James did incredibly well, winning two out of his four fights! His dad, Gary Stirk, a member of our School Governing Body, also competed and was awarded a silver medal in his category! Well done to this inspiring father-and-son duo!
