Felixton College exploring earth’s amazing creatures

There was plenty of excitement, curiosity and hands-on learning at Roots Pre-primary today as Felixton College pupils enjoyed a fascinating Animal Kingdom Workshop presented by Experi-Buddies.
Through interactive discussions and fun experiments, the children discovered how different animals play important roles in keeping our planet healthy. They explored the world of invertebrates and vertebrates, learnt about everything from spiders and earthworms to frogs and rhinos, and gained a deeper appreciation for the incredible creatures that share our Earth.
The highlight of the day was getting stuck into some wonderfully messy science. Our young explorers made frog slime, discovered how spiders turn their food into liquid before eating it, and even created their own earthworms.
Learning comes alive when children can see, touch, question and explore for themselves, and today was filled with those special moments of discovery. The smiles, laughter and wide-eyed wonder reminded us just how powerful hands-on learning can be.
A big thank you to Experi-Buddies for inspiring our little scientists and helping them see the natural world through curious new eyes.
