The Grade 3’s at the Sunningdale campus of Elkanah House have started an exciting Unit of Inquiry on Endangered Animals. They are learning what it means for a species to be at risk and why some animals are classified as vulnerable while others are critically endangered.

They have explored which animals appear on the endangered list and worked together to group them according to their level of threat.Each student is now researching an animal of their choice, learning about its habitat, the dangers it faces and how human actions can affect its survival.
