Crawford International Ruimsig Grade00s took a hands-on journey into the diets of farm animals through fun and interactive sorting activities. They discovered which animals enjoy different types of food:
Hay Eaters: Cows, sheep, horses, and goats
-Grass Eaters: Cows, sheep, horses, and goats
-Grains and Plants Eaters: Pigs, chickens, and turkeys
-Fruits and Vegetables Eaters: Pigs, chickens, turkeys, and ducks
The excitement peaked with a special visit from the Children’s Farm, where the learning came to life!
Our little Crawfordians had the opportunity to:
✅Feed and pet friendly goats and sheep
✅Watch playful pigs in action
✅Observe chickens pecking at grains
This hands-on experience not only deepened their understanding of farm animals’ diets but also helped them develop skills in classification, criticalthinking, and compassion for living creatures.
