Since November 2022, Fair Cape Dairies, a leading local company known for its commitment to community development, has proudly partnered with Ubunye Educare Centre, an educational institution providing quality early childhood education, paediatric health check-ups and nutritional needs for the more than 120 children aged 5-6 from Dunoon Township enrolled in its care every year. Fair Cape Diaries supports the Centre with generous weekly donations of nutritious yoghurt for the children, boosting their nutrition and contributing to their overall well-being. This is in line with Fair Cape Diaries’ strong commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goal 4, education.

The company also supports this goal by documenting its sustainable practices implemented on Fair Cape Farms, creating valuable educational resources for students, teachers and communities by providing insight into sustainable farming techniques, renewable energy usage, waste management and conservation efforts. By promoting awareness and knowledge about sustainable practices, Fair Cape Dairies contributes to building a more environmentally conscious and responsible generation. Sharing this belief in the transformative power of education, Ubunye Educare Centre has long been recognised for its dedication to providing quality early childhood education. The centre offers a nurturing environment that fosters learning, creativity and social development for children and aims to equip young learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in their future endeavours.

The Centre’s mission aligns perfectly with Fair Cape Dairies’ commitment to social responsibility. Known for its high-quality dairy products, the company has a deep-rooted belief in giving back to the communities it serves. By supporting educational initiatives, Fair Cape Dairies aims to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners and contribute to their overall development.

“We are thrilled to partner with Ubunye Educare Centre and to contribute to the education and growth of young children in our community,” says Louis Loubser, Chief Marketing Officer of Fair Cape Dairies. “Education is the cornerstone of progress and by supporting initiatives like Ubunye Educare Centre, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of children, empowering them to reach their full potential”. “Our yoghurt-a-day campaign ensures that each learner has a full tummy to get the most out of their day and allows our team to live by our motto ‘Do the right thing’ – we are honoured to support an incredibly impactful project right on our doorstep such as Ubunye Educare Centre.”

Committed to nurturing young minds and providing a solid foundation for their future success, Ubunye Educare Centre is immensely grateful for Fair Cape Dairies’ support and the positive effect the donation will have on their students and the broader community. For more information about Fair Cape Dairies and its community initiatives, please visit https://www.faircape.com/ or to become a donor of Ubunye Educare Centre, please contact 0826897128 or visit https://ubunye-educare.co.za.
