“Empangeni High School Learners competed in the King Cetshwayo Chess tournament held at Arboretum Primary School on 1 March 2025. Our learners did very well, with Siyamthanda Mkhwanazi winning 2/5 matches, Tashiamo Moaisi winning 3/5, Julianne Oosthuyzen winning 3/5, Sanele Mamba winning 3/5, and finally Minenhle Ntshangase winning 4 out of 5 matches, placing 2^nd place in the under-16 girls’ division. We are extremely proud of our learners.”
