Busy week of Sport at Dundee High School Ferrum Sports Day

On Saturday, 11 February 2023, our Netball, Rugby and Chess players travelled to Newcastle to brave the weather and show everyone what they are made of. The first netball team was amazing in their performance winning all their games.  The first game against Volksrust High was phenomenal with a final score of 38 – 2.  Their second game was a challenge but they were victorious in the end with 20 – 14 win!

Our Rugby team also had an excellent game against Glenwood High.  They put on an impressive fight and kept the opponent at bay with a 0 – 0 score for the first half.  The final result was a 10 – 0 loss for DHS.  It was however a great game to watch with Njabulo Mkhwanazi and Hanro van Zyl as ‘man of the match’. Our chess team also had a great day for the start of the season.  They were placed fourth in the tournament with Bradd Govender scoring the most points for DHS.  He remains undefeated.  Well done to all our participants.

KZN Interdistrict Tennis Tournament

Four of our learners travelled to Durban this weekend in order to take part in a prestigious tennis tournament at Westridge Tennis Stadium.  Aryan Mungru, Asande Kunene, Zemichke Snyman and Pieter Bester played exceptionally well and once again made us proud. They represented KZN in U19 A and U15 A teams.
