KwaZulu-Natal Basketball Team Selection: Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School is very proud of our six learners, who have been selected for the KwaZulu-Natal Under 18 Basketball Team. They will represent their province in the National Under-18 Basketball Championships, set to take place in Bloemfontein from 2 to 7 July 2023.

Congratulations to Grade 10 learners: Zanamhla Ndaba, Aluta Mkhize, Zemvelo Phewa, Bathandwa Mdhuli and Nanyiso Khoza (Grade 10) and Grade 11 learner: Amahle Cebekhulu. We wish them all the best for the Nationals tournament!

Cross Country hosted by Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School. Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School hosted a Cross Country meet on Wednesday 22 May 2023. 211 runners from 17 different schools took part in the event.

Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School Central Region Hockey Champions: Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School were the Pietermaritzburg Central Region champions at the SPAR KZN Schoolgirls’ Hockey Challenge that took place at Epworth School on Sunday 14 May 2023. This is the seventh time Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School won the Pietermaritzburg Central Regional trophy, after a six year break. We are very proud of our First team Hockey girls who won 1 – 0 in a tight match against St John’s DSG.
