Wembley College Preschool Inter-house Athletics Day

The cool Umvoti wind decided to blow on Friday morning during the Wembley Preschool Inter-house Athletics Day but this strong, cold wind did not deter our enthusiastic athletes who competed in all their races. Our disciplined, little athletes did some sprints, sometimes with their mums and dads assisting them along the way. The popular, fun races were a Dolly Race, a Brrrrm Brrrrm Race, Egg and Spoon and Sack Race. Many of our aspiring athletes raced across the field, showing enormous determination and perseverance to get to the finish line. I think these skills have been acquired from their competitive moms and dads who sped across the field during the Parent Race. Mrs Goble reflected on the day and the value of sport, “At this early age sport teaches us to know what is feels like to win and loss, it teaches us about life.”
