Extra mural achievement from York High School

York High School learner Lia Schmidt (Grade 8) competed this past weekend in the Regional A Arts Qualifier in the dance section (Championship level), delivering an outstanding performance. She received an incredible 11 A+ awards, along with 2 special awards, and earned trophies for:
Best Acrobatic Dancer (highest solo score of 92%)
Best Character Dancer
Best Lyrical Duet
Best Acrobatic Duet
Lia has also qualified to compete at the A Arts National Rise to Fame Competition in 2027.
